We're a family of five building a life on our Virginia homestead. We raise alpacas and sheep, keep bees, tend a garden, and make everything we sell with our own hands.
Guided by our Christian faith, we believe in honest stewardship of the land and the animals in our care. That same love goes into every skein of yarn, every candle we pour, and every jar of honey we harvest.
When you buy from Mountain View Homestead, you're not buying from a brand — you're buying from a real family who hopes you love what we made.
Our animals are the heart of everything we do. We raise alpacas and sheep right here on our Lovettsville property, and their fiber is sent to a local Virginia mill where it's spun into the soft, beautiful yarn you'll find in our shop.
Every skein you buy came from an animal we named, raised, and cared for. That connection matters to us — and we hope it matters to you too.
Our Christian faith shapes everything about how we farm and how we do business. We believe creation is a gift to be cared for, not exploited. That means raising healthy animals, keeping bees that help our local ecosystem, and making products we're truly proud of.
We don't cut corners. We don't use synthetic materials. And we never sell something we wouldn't use ourselves.
